Samaritans

Elder ¨Hand in Hand Work, Love and Brotherhood¨ Group

Anyone that wishes to help others, can find in this service an open door to the gathering with all things.

The objective is to provide relief, quietude and affection. The group's formation is done together through  theoretic technique and assistance and inner work.

  1. Our job is itinerary, we go into hospitals, family houses, geriatrics, etc. The attitude towards respect and not getting involved in these places´ organization is fundamental. We only wish to help those who suffer. We take the opportunity given to us and we follow all medication requirement, integrating all the service areas of the network. The essential part is not to harm. It becomes easier no to cause suffering than treating them later on. If humanity would stop causing pain, life would transform immediately. Be careful with: words, gestures, know how to listen, gives ones best.

  2. Live in the brotherhood using group interaction, support and containing itself.

  3. The members should know that their are different tasks in this area, like the order of the clothes donated to hospitals, medications, administrative tasks, library, etc. These can all be alternatives to the assistance itself.

  4. This group aids the Muñoz Hospital (infectious diseases) attending HIV positive (child & adult) as well as other Hospitals and home assistance also. We are authorized to assist the hospital  from the hours of 8am  to 8 pm. All this obligatory.

    the use of chin strap
    not sit on patients bed
use of gloves while in contact with any element that requires it
use of volunteer credential provided by hospital

We respect indications given by infirmary, physicians, security and hospital Chaplain (volunteer coordinator)

  5. We visit patients as any other family member. looking to give affection and company. Paying attention to those place that need it most. Looking which patient may be looking for a little comfort, someone willing to listen or talk about anything. Someone willing to help them dress or eat. Always respecting privacy and intimacy. ¨I am aware there are thousand of poor people. I handle one at a time¨.

  6. Jesus would have given his life for any poor person . He shows this when he says. I was hungry and you fed me. I was a foreigner and you visited me. I was naked and      you        dressed me. I was sick and cured me.

  7. The sisters and me take care of the person, one at a time. We can not save time more than one in one. We can not love more than one at time.
                                                                    Mother Teresa of Calcutta

  8. Those wishing to become a part of this group must assist Saturday meetings 8 times. This before attending the hospital, accompanied  by someone experienced in the beginning. Meanwhile it is possible to accompany members to house visits.

  9. Also, those that begin receive psychological evaluation in order to help beginners evaluate the correct task that needs to be developed inside the group.

  10. Every 3rd Saturday of the month includes a workshop given by Lic. Juan Tucci.

A new world is coming
a reality of peace

a meeting  with Harmony
that we must install
.

Stones, mountains, plants
angels, air, children, spring water;
All together hand in hand

with Universal tasks.

These are all blessings
in this kingdom of love
it is only necessary to begin moving
it is only necessary not to wish.

This way we recognize the deficiency
Like the creation of humanity

and we show the abundance,
provided by God.
