GIANT LENTILS
Lentils come from East and was introduced in Europe by ancient Romans. Among their properties they prevent : anemia, diarrhea, have anti-inflammatory properties, and provide : proteins, minerals, vitamins, nutrients and energy. Highly recommended for cases of anemia, undernourishment and convalescence. Cultivated in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, they are classified according to their size and their color go from the green one to dark brown. They contain 23.5% of proteins. (After soya and broad beans). When they are combined with cereals they contribute with complete proteins and besides, they increase their digestion. Some doctors moderate their consumption due to the purines they have, but if we compared them with meats of habitual consumption their rate in purines are quite inferior (the lentils have 0.07, 0.15 chicken and the meat calf 0.24). Lentils from “La Esquina de las Flores”, surpass in quality to the exigencies of the Argentinean Food Code, being always fresh and free of impurities. They are possible to be used in soups, stews, with brown rice, etc. It

advisable to eat them combined with cereals that to eat them single
